Hon. Chris Yer Nangoi, MP has been appointed as the new Correctional Service Minister taking over from former CS Minister Hon. Roy Biyama, MP.

Hon. Chris Nangoi, MP was first elected to the 10th National Parliament for the Sumkar Open seat in the 2017 General Elections as a member of the

Pangu Party. Hon. Chris Nangoi, MP was appointed Vice Minister for Education in the O'Neill-Abel Cabinet, in his 1st Term in Parliament. He was then

appointed Minister for Transport and Infrastructure on 13/05/19. On 7th June 2019, He was appointed Minister for Correctional Service under the new

look Marape-Davis Cabinet. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering from PNG University of Technology.
